We watched you perform country dancing at the school fete this weekend. You had been practicing during PE time at school and you were happy to be finally performing it as you were getting quite bored of practicing. Ha ha.

2170 Days
I am about to have my first full day away from you since you were born… that’s 2170 days straight I have seen you every single day. Daddy and I agreed that I need a break from parenting and being a wife to just be me, so I’ve booked a little lodge on a farm for two nights to just be. Mental health is very important. I know I’ll miss you both and wonder what you are up to, but I need to decompress.

Rainbow’s Sleepover
Hey Bug,
Last night we brought you home from your first Rainbows sleepover. First sleepover you’ve had that was not with family.
You said it was fun, but you found it scary at night sleeping in a room full of people you didn’t really know. We can understand that. We would feel the same. But you got to sleep in the top bunk if a bunk bed, and you said that was exciting.
I asked if you would like to go again if they had another one, and you said yes 🌈😊

Well you finally did it you practiced so hard and remembered your promise and became a Rainbow, you couldn’t have looked prouder with your new pin badge and book.

1st Week in Year 1 & Swimming Lessons
Can’t believe it’s been a whole year since you started Reception! It’s absolutely flown by! You have really got into the swing of being at school. PE days, uniform, reading books…lots to learn and remember.
To add to the excitement, you have also started swimming lessons this week to. Watching you splash and jump around with the swimming instructor. You looked like you were having lots of fun getting used to the water. Thankfully it was a pool we knew well, and we had taken you swimming before, so it wasn’t completely new to you.

Your First COVID Vaccine
Hey Bug,
You had your first COVID Vaccine today. I must confess, I was incredibly anxious. Your Daddy however was very supportive.
You were awesome! Got through it and got a sticker.
We need to go back in 12 weeks for your next one. I’m not looking forward to it.

It’s the Ugly Bug Ball at school today. You and I decided the costume was an obvious choice…a Ladybird!

The Perfect Book
We were in the library, and I was looking for some more fairy books for you, as you like us to read them to you before you go to bed. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I found this…
Unfortunately you didn’t want us to read it to you, so we will be taking it back to the library on Saturday. Another time perhaps.
