    Lara Loves The Hub

    Hello little bug,

    As mummy and daddy had the week off we thought it would be nice to round off our time together and take you out, we thought the riverside hub was a good place for you to explore and be the adventurer that you are.

    The riverside hub is an indoor play area full of things for you to feel touch explore and climb, we found you the area designed for baby’s of your age and once we put you down there was no stopping you, you explored the big pillows, the giant cake and loved all the lights and different textures, there was a soft slide that at first you was unsure of but after a few goes we couldn’t keep you off it.

    You even had lunch while we were there and you showed your banana off to anyone that walked past.

    We will take you back soon so you can enjoy more freedom and play.

  • Nearly 10 months

    Hello little bug

    As I write this you currently star fishing in you cot and the monitor says it 27deg it’s very hot and muggy, me and mummy bug have decided to keep you out of your sleeping bag and let you sleep free roam.

    As the title suggests you are nearly 10 months old and still growing fast, you have now worked out how to sit up on  your own and how to get up on your hands and knees, I don’t think it’s going to be long before your crawling.

    You have developed quite a character and made us smile every day with your random babalings. And you infectious laugh. Mummy bug has had to buy you all new clothes as your growing out of your old ones.

    We are also very into your weening program and you have quite a appetite for all the food we put in front of you. The only thing so far we have found you do not like is carrots. But you will eat and share with everything else, you bumbo, mummy, me, the floor, but you enjoy you dinner times and that’s what’s important

    Don’t ever change little bug

  • 5 weeks today

    He Lara bug, today you made it to your 5 week birthday, your so cute and your mummy and I have great love for you, we have been taking you out and about more and more and your being so good,

    A few days ago me and mummy took you for your first visit to nanny flo and grandad Ernie's house and while we were there daddy's auntie and uncle were there Eileen and Mick, you had plenty of cuddles and was even fed by Eileen.

    Me and mummy have been shopping and brought you a carrier for when we take you out and about, and speaking of that we are only a week away from our family trip to Cornwall and from me and your mummy getting married

  • A&E Drama 

    Hello little one, 

    In your first week of being in the big scary world you have had quite a run of drama, on Sunday we noticed your left eye was stuck shut and so we bathed it and made you open your eye, but after you had slept it had come back so mummy made an appointment with out of hours doctor so we could get you some drops to clear up the infection, we only thought we would be out of the house for 30 mins didn’t pack a lot of supply’s but after an hour wait and way past your feed time we were seen by the doc who said your blood oxygen levels were low and we were rush round to a&e where me and your mummy were in for a 8.5 hour wait to find out you were completely fit and healthy. And that the original doctor used the wrong bit of equipment on you.  We eventually managed to get you home at 1:30am 

    We’re we’re all up early later that Monday morning as we had to take you back to the hospital so you could have your tongue tie sorted, bit of blood and crying as you were hungry but no real dramas, we tried to Breast feed you on your next feed but you still didn’t latch on. So mummy’s continuing to express so you still get everything you need to grow big and strong. 

    It’s now Tuesday morning and your currently sleeping after your last feed and mummy is going to ring to get someone to come and help you both with breast feeding, we’re both hopping it will all go well

  • 1 week old 

    Good morning Lara, still feels a bit weird calling you that as for 9 months you were wriggley bear, well I guess your still living up to your name as your still as wriggley as you were in mummy’s tummy. 
    Well as previously stated your a week old today and growing strong you already hold your head up and your already bearing weight on your legs 
    We are currently feeding you about every 3 hours it’s making me and mama bear very tired but seeing your baby blue eyes looking up at me makes it all worth while. 

    You have had a very busy week with being kept in hospital, coming home meeting nanny flo and grandad Ernie, aunt Debbie and of course your furry sister Nismo. You have had midwife visits and been out for in daddy’s car to have you bloods taken.

  • Not so lazy Saturday 

    Hey little one, today we have packed our bag with everything we are going to need for you arrival.
    We have even unpacked and put everything away in your draws and wardrobe all your clothes and things we will need to look after you. 
    As you can probably tell me and your mummy are getting really excited about meeting you,you have been kicking loads after mummy has eaten, means you are getting big and strong  

  • Been a while 

    Hey little one, been a while since I’ve posted and said hi. I’ve started to talk to you more and sometimes lay on mummy tummy but you kicked my in the head as you didn’t like me laying on you. 

    You have been very stretchy and very wriggley lately as you continue to grow. Mummy is now struggling to sleep and lay on her front so we have broken out the noodle to help mummy sleep and can honestly say last night was a good night for sleep. 
    In the outside world it’s the same old both me and mummy continue to work so we can buy you nice things, we have your room setup and clothes blankets baths etc are ready and waiting for your arrival, we will be going shopping at the weekend for more essentials. 
    And as always we can’t wait to meet you 

  • Antenatal Session 2

    Your Mummy and I are fresh out of our second antenatal session where we learned about what Mummy could do to relieve the pain when you finally decide to come into the world. Exciting times. 

    On another note, I have progressed with your room and there are only a few jobs left to do, and then I will get in contact with your uncle Jason and get him to bring over your bed and other furniture so I can paint them for you. 

    We went to Brands Hatch race circuit to see the touring cars, we went with Daddy and Mummy’s good friends Brad and Floss. They brought you some presents: some ear defenders for when your born so you can come with us and a vest that your going to look very cute wearing. On our drive down, Daddy has his rock music on and you were kicking along to Black Betty, glad you like your rock music.

  • Growing Strong 

    So we’re in week 23 and Mummy is getting kicked very regularly now, you seem to want to come out and meet us. 

    I am rubbing tummy butter on Mummy’s tummy every night before we settle and go to sleep, and I managed to feel you kick my hand the other night. You are getting stronger and bigger with every passing day. 
    In other news I am very close to starting your bedroom and we have decided on a Star Wars theme. Star Wars is one of Mummy and Daddy’s favourite films, and when you grow old enough we are sure you will enjoy the films as much as we do. 

  • 20 Week Scan

    Your Mummy and I went to the hospital today to make sure everything was going ok with your growth, and that you were happy inside Mummy, and I am pleased to tell you that you are all healthy. 

    We took away 3 photos of your scan, one for us, one for Grandad Ernie and Nanny Flo, and of course one for Nanny Helen. 

    Your Mummy and I were really happy to see you looking back at us via the scan, and made things feel very real that soon we will be holding you in our arms and introducing you to your new play mate our little black cat Nismo.
