  • My first Mother’s Day

    Hey Lara,

    Today it’s my first Mother’s Day! So many women take falling pregnant for grated, and often forget that some of us may not get the chance, for a long time I was one of those unlucky few. Today, I am reminded that nature and the human body are amazing things, and your Papa Bug and I get to celebrate that.

    At the moment it’s still quite early, and I am lying in bed whilst you are asleep in your cot and your Papa is asleep breathing gently next to me.

    I am using this time to reflect on the last 8 months, and how I can be a better Mama to you. In three short months we will be celebrating your first birthday, and I want to be sure that I gave those first 12 months my all, making you a well-rounded and happy little Bug.

    I love you Lara, with all my heart, and I will strive to be whatever you need and want, for as long as you need me.

    I did it! I finally did it. I registered you your very own domain name, with hosting. You have your own little piece of cyber space.

    I’m hoping you can use this domain growing up for your own projects, email and other bits. Maybe you might be a developer like me?

  • 8 months old

    Your officially 8 months old and growing and developing fast, you have out grow your play mate that you love so much so me and mummy brought you a large mat that you can roll and wriggle on, bit you don’t like staying on it for very long you have managed to roll into the dining room and even attempted the hallway.

    We have started weening you and let’s say its been fun and interesting time for us all, you didn’t like the pure that I made so we have found a ready made dinner for you called Ella kitchen we have found out you love peas, carrots, and sweet potato you love getting messy.

    You have also become very vocal babbling away, blowing rasberrys and even singing in your own special way.

    Don’t ever change little bug we love you so much you never fail to make us smile and laugh on a daily basis

  • Happy New Year Little Lara

    Hey Lara,

    HAPPY NEW YEAR! It’s 2018, and you have just had your first Christmas. You have lots of generous people in your life that love you and have gifted you with wonderful clothes and toys. Your wardrobe it ready to burst. Lots of different outfits to dress you in and make you look gorgeous*.

    *Not that you need the help. You are such a gorgeous baby. Daddy and I still astounded we made you.

    In the short 6 months you have been alive you have done so much:

    • Registered with your Daddy’s name.
    • Was a bridesmaid at your Mama and Daddy’s wedding.
    • Met loads of awesome people who all loves you.
    • Found a wonderful childminder.
    • Rolled over.
    • Learning to sit up.
    • Starting to find your voice.
    • Getting those legs strong for crawling.
    • Had your first Christmas.
    • Had your first New Year.
    • Moved from sleeping in your basket to your cot in your room.
    • First Halloween.
    • First holiday.

    You have been a busy girl!

    Your Daddy and I are so proud of you. You are such a good, gorgeous and very clever baby. You are simply amazing. As you have grown, you have gotten more and more beautiful.

  • Christmas eve eve

    Hello Lara, I’ve not blogged for a while and let mummy have all the fun so I thought I’d have a turn.

    Well today you finaly said good bye to your moses basket. It’s been your bed since we brought you home from hospital, it’s been everywhere with you, even down to Cornwall when me and mummy got married. Now you’re too big for it so time to be a free Lara and sleep in your cot.

    I put you down for your nap and you decided to star fish so we know your a happy bug.

    In other news it’s Christmas, and we are really looking forward to you having your first Christmas and ours as husband a wife, we love you very much.

    Everyone who sees you comments on how beautiful you are. Your long eye lashes, your big blue eyes, you red hair…

  • 25 Weeks Old

    Hey Lara,

    Today is a big day…you are sleeping in your own room tonight. We have been putting your Moses basket in your cot for your naps today and you seem to like it. Daddy has just settled you in for your first night in your own room. You are almost too big for your basket now, so time to make that lil leap to becoming an independent Lara. Don’t worry, we have a baby monitor so we can hear you from wherever we are.

    It’s nearly Christmas and you becoming 6 months old. You have come so far…you are babbling and making lots of noise whilst you’re learning to talk. You are rolling about all over the place. You are looking at and grabbing everything. Your core is getting stronger so sitting up isn’t far away either.

    You are so beautiful and funny. When I look at you, my heart aches I have so much love for you. When you laugh, it never fails to make me smile a huge smile.

  • 19 Weeks Old

    Hey Lara,

    You are getting so strong! Now you’ve nailed rolling over, you are now trying to sit up. Lots of straining noises coming from you at the moment. You really make us laugh. Here you are sat with Mummy watching a film while Daddy was at work on Sunday.

    You seem to have got a bug from somewhere as you have a horrible cough that wakes you up at night. Mummy and Daddy are worried about you.

    You are still laughing and rolling around.

    We love you so much!

  • 4.5 months 

    Hi Lara,

    Well what can I say your now 18 weeks old now and your growing up fast, me and mummy have noticed your starting to work out what your hands are and what they do. 

    Your smiling and laughing more and getting very interested in things like leaves, birds tweets, different noises. 

    We are falling in love with you more and more as you grow as a little human and your character starts to emerge.

  • 17 Weeks Old Today

    Hey Lara,

    It’s Saturday morning Daddy is at work, you are napping after a feed and Mummy is blogging.

    Lyndsey is having a week off next week, so Mummy is looking after you before she starts her new job on 30th.

    When Daddy went to work, we had a bit of tummy time on the bed before you wanted some breakfast. We practised rolling over and sitting up.

    We love that when you are not crying for a feed or you’re tired, you are such a happy and smiling baby. We love you so much.
