You had your first bath on your own today! Very exciting. It’s means you’re growing independent. Your Mummy is very independent, and I want you the same.
Girl, you’re nailing this baby business, and not too far from being a toddler.
So, as you probably already know, you are a pretty amazing little girl, you only went and SMASHING WALKING!
Oh yes! You took your first few steps on your own the other day. You are now demanding to be walked around the house. You look up at us with an outstretched arm, you grab a finger, haul yourself up, and off you go. My heart is bursting!
You are standing up on all the things, even able to pull yourself up on the bed and the sofas. You are awesome Lil Bug!
Here you are rocking it in a snap with Nismo. I think you are wondering why she is getting a bath and you’re not.
As you know, Nismo loves the bath as much as you do. Splashing around and drinking it. Yep, you drink your bath water. Strange Girl.
You are very strange, so you are definitely our child. When you are in the back bedroom, you make a beeline for a spare drawer that is under the bed. You love it!
Sitting in it. Standing in it. You don’t care so long as you are in your drawer. Bless you.
Last week, your Papa Bug and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary. When we got married you were our tiny bridesmaid and only 6 weeks old!
Last Saturday we had a party at AJ’s Diner with our friends family to celebrate. We were supposed to have it the weekend we got back from Cornwall after our wedding, but we found out we were pregnant with you, and I wouldn’t be getting any maternity pay from work, we used the money we had saved to pay for bills whilst I was off.
Twirl me!
It was worth the wait. I was very nervous about it and I am not keen on being centre of attention, but once everyone had arrived and I had had a few drinks and felt a little more comfortable.
Papa Bug and I did lots of dancing and jiving. We even arranged to have jive lessons for everyone. They all enjoyed it .
Our First Dance
We did the thing we set out to do, and that was to make memories with you, and our friends & family.
You were scooting around the dancefloor in your car, arms in the air and a big smile on your face.
Everyone wanted Lara cuddles. Amazed at how chilled, happy and smiley you were all night long, and way past your bedtime.
Now you are one, unfortunately that means you get more jabs. They protect from nasty bugs and viruses you could catch during your life.
Today you had two in each thigh. You cried so hard! I was holding you and was able to cuddle you throughout. Almost made me cry hearing you so unhappy.
Once it was over, and I was able to turn you around and give you a proper cuddle, you soon were quiet again. Such a strong girl!
You are so close to watching on your own! You can stand up with help, and just today, you have started hanging on to the back of the car your Auntie Debbie bought you for your birthday. You were doing it a bit better before a shoved a camera in your face.
